By Popular Demand was an entertainment competition in which the winner was chosen by audience applause.
Game format[edit | edit source]
Four entertainment acts competed with each other in an elimination-styled competition to determine which act would return the following week. The first two acts competed, with the winner determined by studio audience applause. That winner took on the next competitor, and the last winner of the day returned on the next show.
